Key Points of Wedge anchors:

For heavy-duty, permanent concrete anchoring, wedge anchors are considered the best for solid concrete applications. They provide high load capacity, excellent shear resistance, and exceptional pull-out strength in concrete. And, They’re easy to install.

1, Are these anchors suitable for outdoor use? Will be rust?

Zinc-plated finish provides moderate corrosion resistance. They will rust over time if exposed to moisture or harsh environments. They are intended for indoor, dry environments.

Hot-Dipped Galvanized and stainless steel anchors are suitable for outdoor applications

2, Can these be used in brick, block, drywall or wet cement?

No. Wedge anchors are designed for solid concrete only

3, Can these be used in stucco?

Wedge anchors can be used in stucco, but they are specifically recommended when the stucco is backed by solid concrete

4, Is it easy to install anchors? How to install a wedge anchor?

Yes, wedge anchors are considered easy to install, requiring only a hammer drill, carbide bit, hammer, and wrench.

Drill a hole, clean the hole, hammer the anchor in, and tighten the nut with a wrench 3-4 turns to complete the installation

5, Do the holes need to be cleaned out before anchoring?

Yes, it is highly recommended to use a vacuum, compressed air, or a wire brush to clean out the holes to ensure maximum holding power and proper expansion. Dust can prevent the anchor from seating correctly, reducing its load capacity

6, Can they be removed after installed?

Use an angle grinder or hacksaw to cut the anchor flush with the concrete surface

Or, place a nut on the bolt to protect threads, then use a hammer to drive the anchor at least 1/2 inch below the surface, allowing it to be patched over

7, What are wedge anchors made of?

They are made of carbon steel, finished with zinc-plated

8, Do they come with washers and nuts?

Yes, Comes assembled with nuts & washers for your convenience

  • HROMIGRY 1/4 inch wedge anchors are made from carbon steel, finished with zinc plated to prevent rust for long and durable using
  • Work well for any mounting and structural anchorage purpose in any condition, suitable for applications in solid concrete and cement
